Adhyāya 6: Śibira-dvāra-sthita Bhūta-varṇana and Aśvatthāmā’s Śaraṇāgati to Mahādeva

हीनप्राणजडान्धेषु सुप्तभीतोत्थितेषु च । मत्तोन्मत्तप्रमत्तेषु न शस्त्राणि च पातयेत्‌

hīnaprāṇajaḍāndheṣu suptabhītotthiteṣu ca | mattonmattapramatteṣu na śastrāṇi ca pātayet ||

သဉ္ဇယက ပြောသည်– အသက်အားနည်းသူ၊ ဉာဏ်မပြည့်သူ၊ မျက်ကန်းသူတို့ကို လက်နက်ဖြင့် မထိုးမခတ်ရ။ အိပ်နေသူ၊ ကြောက်လန့်နေသူ သို့မဟုတ် အိပ်ရာမှ နိုးထလာသူတို့ကိုလည်း မတိုက်ခိုက်ရ။ ထို့အပြင် မူးယစ်နေသူ၊ စိတ်မမှန်သူ၊ သတိလက်လွတ်သူတို့အပေါ်လည်း လက်နက်မချရ။ ဤကဗျာသည် စစ်ပွဲအတွင်းရှိ ကန့်သတ်ချက်ကို ဖော်ပြသည်– အကြမ်းဖက်မှုရှိသော်လည်း ဓမ္မသည် အကူအညီမဲ့သူ သို့မဟုတ် တရားမျှတစွာ ကာကွယ်မနိုင်သူကို မတိုက်ခိုက်ရန် တားမြစ်သည်။
