कृप उवाच
The verse highlights martial solidarity and readiness: Kṛpa commits to accompany the advancing leader, emphasizing coordinated action and preparedness in a war setting—an ethic of loyalty to one’s commander, even as the broader episode raises moral tension about violence undertaken at night.
In the Sauptika episode, Kṛpa addresses the chariot-warrior (contextually Aśvatthāman) and declares that he and Kṛtavarman, both armed archers, will mount their chariot and follow swiftly as he advances.
