ब्राह्मणा: कुपिताश्चासन् द्रौपद्या: परिकर्षणे । ये सारी स्त्रियाँ प्रजावर्गकी स्त्रियोंके साथ मिलकर रात-दिन सदा इसीके लिये शोक करती रहती हैं। उस दिन द्रौपदीका वस्त्र खींचे जानेके कारण सब ब्राह्मण कुपित हो उठे थे
brāhmaṇāḥ kupitāś cāsan draupadyāḥ parikarṣaṇe | ye sārīḥ striyaḥ prajā-vargasya strībhiḥ saha militvā rātri-divasaṃ sadā asyai eva śocanti | tasmin dine draupadyā vastra-parikarṣaṇa-kāraṇāt sarve brāhmaṇāḥ kupitā abhavan, ataḥ sāyaṃkāle asmākaṃ gṛheṣu te agnihotraṃ api na akurvan |
ဓೃತရာෂ္ဋရ ပြော၏— «ဒြൗပဒီကို ဆွဲခေါ်၍ အဝတ်ကို ဆွဲဖြုတ်သည့်အခါ ဗြာဟ္မဏတို့သည် ဒေါသထွက်ကြ၏။ မြို့သူမြို့သား မိန်းမများနှင့် သာမန်ပြည်သူ မိန်းမများပါ ပေါင်း၍ သူမအတွက် နေ့ညမပြတ် ဝမ်းနည်းကြသည်။ ထိုအရှက်ခွဲမှုကြောင့် ဒေါသမီးလောင်နေသော ဗြာဟ္မဏတို့သည် ညနေခင်း အဂ္နိဟောတရ (agnihotra) ပူဇော်ပွဲကိုပင် ကျွန်ုပ်တို့အိမ်များတွင် မပြုလုပ်ကြတော့»။
