अद्यप्रभृति भद्रें वः प्रतिज्ञां मे निबोधत । त्रयोदश समास्तात को ममार्थो5स्ति जीवत:,“तात! तुमलोगोंका कल्याण हो, भाइयोंके विनाशका कारण बननेके लिये मुझे तेरह वर्षोतक जीवित रहनेसे क्या लाभ? यदि जीना ही है तो आजसे मेरी यह प्रतिज्ञा सुन लो --

Transliteration

adyaprabhṛti bhadreṃ vaḥ pratijñāṃ me nibodhata | trayodaśa samās tāta ko mamārtho 'sti jīvataḥ |

Translation

ဝိုင်ရှမ္ပာယနက ပြောသည်— «ယနေ့မှစ၍ ကောင်းမြတ်သောသူတို့၊ ငါ့ကတိသစ္စာကို သိမှတ်ကြလော့။ ချစ်သား၊ ငါ အသက်ရှင်နေခြင်းက ငါ့ညီအစ်ကိုတို့ ပျက်စီးရာ၏ အကြောင်းရင်း ဖြစ်လာမည်ဆိုလျှင်၊ ငါ တစ်ဆယ့်သုံးနှစ် အသက်ရှင်နေခြင်းမှာ ဘာအကျိုးရှိသနည်း။ ငါ အသက်ရှင်ရမည်ဆိုလျှင် ယနေ့မှစ၍ ငါ့၏ သံဃာတည်သော ဆုံးဖြတ်ချက်ကို ကြားကြလော့» ဟု။
