अर्जुनस्य दिग्विजयारम्भः — Arjuna Initiates the Northern Campaign and Secures Bhagadattta’s Tribute
अवमुच्य किरीटं स केशान् समनुगृहा[ च । उदतिष्ठज्जरासंधो वेलातिग इवार्णव:,जरासंधने किरीट उतारकर केशोंको कसकर बाँध लिया। तत्पश्चात् वह युद्धके लिये उठकर खड़ा हो गया; मानो महासागर अपनी मर्यादा--तटवर्तिनी भूमिको लाँघ जानेको उद्यत हो गया हो
avamucya kirīṭaṃ sa keśān samanugṛhya ca | udatiṣṭhaj jarāsandho velātiga ivārṇavaḥ ||
သရဖူကိုချွတ်ပစ်၍ ဆံပင်ကိုတင်းတင်းချည်ကာ ဂျရာသန္ဓသည် စစ်ပွဲအတွက် ထရပ်လေ၏—ကမ်းရိုးတန်းကန့်သတ်ကို ကျော်လွန်မည်ဟု ထင်ရသကဲ့သို့ လှိုင်းထန်လာသော သမုဒ္ဒရာတစ်စင်းကဲ့သို့။
