ऋग्वेद: सामवेदश्न यजुर्वेदश्च॒ पाण्डव । अथर्ववेदश्न तथा सर्वशास्त्राणि चैव ह,पाण्डुनन्दन! ऋग्वेद, सामवेद, यजुर्वेद, अथर्ववेद तथा सम्पूर्ण शास्त्र,
ṛgvedaḥ sāmavedaś ca yajurvedaś ca pāṇḍava | atharvavedaś ca tathā sarvaśāstrāṇi caiva ha ||
နာရဒက ပြောသည်– “အို ပाण्डဝ၊ ရိဂ္ဝေဒ၊ သာမဝေဒ၊ ယဇုရဝေဒ၊ ထို့အတူ အထರ್ವဝေဒ—အမှန်တကယ် သာස්တရအားလုံးလည်း—ဤနေရာ၌ (သိရှိ/အနှံ့အပြား ပါဝင်) သည်။” အကြောင်းအရာအရ ဤစကားသည် ဝေဒပညာနှင့် သာස්တရတစ်ရပ်လုံးကို မှန်ကန်သော အကျင့်နှင့် ခွဲခြားသိမြင်မှုအတွက် ပြည့်စုံသော အခြေခံအဖြစ် မြှင့်တင်ပြသသည်။
