अध्याय १: महाप्रस्थानारम्भः
The Commencement of the Great Departure
अभोजयत् स्वादु भोज्यं कीर्तयित्वा च शार्द्धिणम् । ददौ रत्नानि वासांसि ग्रामानश्चान् रथांस्तथा
abhojayat svādu bhojyaṁ kīrtayitvā ca śārddhiṇam | dadau ratnāni vāsāṁsi grāmāṁś cān rathāṁs tathā ||
ဝိုင်သမ္ပာယနက ပြောသည်—ထိုက်တန်သော လက်ခံသူကို ချီးမွမ်းကာ အရသာရှိသော အစားအစာဖြင့် ဧည့်ခံကျွေးမွေး하였다။ ထို့နောက် ရတနာများနှင့် အဝတ်အစားများကို ပေးကမ်း၍ ရွာများနှင့် ရထားများကိုလည်း ချီးမြှင့်하였다။
