न चाप्यभूत् क्लान्तमना: स राजन् यावन्नास्मान् दृष्टवान् सूतपुत्र: । श्र॒त्वा तु त्वां तेन दृष्टे समेत- मश्वत्थाम्ना पूर्वतरं क्षतं च
na cāpy abhūt klāntamanāḥ sa rājan yāvan nāsmān dṛṣṭavān sūtaputraḥ | śrutvā tu tvāṃ tena dṛṣṭe sametaṃ aśvatthāmnā pūrvataraṃ kṣataṃ ca ||
အရှင်ဘုရင်၊ စုတပုတၱ (ရထားမောင်း၏သား) သည် ကျွန်ုပ်တို့ကို မမြင်သေးသရွေ့ စိတ်မပျက်ခဲ့။ သို့သော် အရှင်ဘုရင်သည် သူနှင့် ထိတွေ့တွေ့ဆုံခဲ့ကြောင်းကို ကြားသိပြီး၊ ထို့ပြင် အရှွတ္ထာမာ (Aśvatthāmā) သည် ယခင်က ဒဏ်ရာရခဲ့ကြောင်းကိုလည်း သိသွားသောအခါ၊ စစ်၏ အကျိုးဆက်များအလယ်၌ သူ၏ စိတ်ဓာတ်နှင့် စိတ်အနေအထားတို့ လှုပ်ရှားတက်ကြွလာ၏။
