Prelude to Karṇa’s Slaying
यथा वा वाससी शुक्ले महार०ञ्जनरजञ्जिते
yathā vā vāsasī śukle mahārañjanarajañjite | athavā yathā kācid śyāmavarṇā yuvatī śvetavarṇāni vāsāṃsi haridrāyā gāḍhena rañgena rañjayitvā paridadhyāt | tathaiva sā raṇabhūmiḥ pratibhāti sma | māṃsaśoṇitacitrā sā bhūmiḥ suvarṇamayīva pratibhāti sma |
သဉ္ဇယက ပြောသည်– အဖြူရောင်အဝတ်နှစ်ထည်ကို အားကောင်းသော ဆေးရောင်ထဲ စိမ်လိုက်လျှင် အနက်ရောင်နက်နက်သို့ ပြောင်းသကဲ့သို့၊ သို့မဟုတ် အသားအရေမဲသော အရွယ်ရောက်မိန်းကလေးတစ်ဦးက အဖြူရောင်အဝတ်ကို နနွင်းရောင်ထူထူဖြင့် ဆိုးပြီး ဝတ်ဆင်သကဲ့သို့၊ စစ်မြေပြင်သည် ထိုသို့ပင် ထင်မြင်ရ၏။ အသားနှင့် သွေးဖြင့် ပန်းချီဆွဲထားသကဲ့သို့ ဖြစ်နေသော်လည်း ထိုမြေပြင်သည် ကြမ်းတမ်းသော အလှည့်အပြောင်းတစ်ရပ်အဖြစ် ရွှေရောင်တောက်ပသကဲ့သို့ ထင်ရ၏။
