कृष्णोपदेशः, अर्जुनस्य क्षमा-याचनम्, कर्णवध-अनुज्ञा
Krishna’s Counsel, Arjuna’s Apology, and Authorization for Karṇa’s Slaying
कर्णस्य निधनाकाडुक्षी चिक्षेपातिबलो नदन् । तब अत्यन्त बलवान् महाबाहु भीमसेनने कर्णके वधकी इच्छासे द्वितीय मृत्युदण्डके समान एक भयंकर स्वर्णपत्रजटित परिघ हाथमें ले उसे गरजकर कर्णपर दे मारा ।।
sañjaya uvāca | karṇasya nidhanākāṅkṣī cikṣepātibalo nadan | tadātyanta-balavān mahābāhuḥ bhīmasenaḥ karṇasya vadham icchan dvitīya-mṛtyudaṇḍa-samaṁ bhayaṅkaraṁ svarṇapatra-jaṭitaṁ parighaṁ haste gṛhītvā garjann eva karṇe prāharat || tam āpatantaṁ parighaṁ vajrāśani-sama-svanam |
သဉ္ဇယက ပြောသည်—ကာဏ္ဏ၏ သေဆုံးမှုကို တောင့်တကာ အလွန်အမင်း အင်အားကြီးသော ဘီမသည် ဟိန်းဟောက်၍ မိမိ၏ လက်နက်ကို ပစ်လွှတ်လိုက်သည်။ ထို့နောက် လက်တံရှည် မဟာဗလ ဘီမစေနသည်—ကာဏ္ဏကို သတ်လိုသော စိတ်ဖြင့်—ရွှေပြားများဖြင့် အလှဆင်ထားသော ကြောက်မက်ဖွယ် သံတုတ်ကို မရဏဒဏ္ဍာန် ဒုတိယတစ်ချောင်းကဲ့သို့ ကိုင်ကာ မိုးကြိုးသံကဲ့သို့ ဟိန်းဟောက်သံဖြင့် ကာဏ္ဏထံသို့ ထိုးနှက်လိုက်သည်။ ထိုတုတ်သည် ကျရောက်လာစဉ် မိုးကြိုးနှင့် လျှပ်စီးကဲ့သို့ အသံမြည်ဟိန်းကာ—ကိုယ်ပိုင်သန္နိဋ္ဌာန်က မောင်းနှင်သည့် မရပ်မနား သေမင်းပေးသော စစ်၏ အင်အားကို ပုံဖော်လေသည်။
