लब्धलक्ष्यै: परै्ष्टि््यायच्छद्धिश्चिरं तदा । संध्याकालं समासाद्य प्रत्याहारमकारयत्‌

sañjaya uvāca |

labdhalakṣyaiḥ parāiṣṭyāyacchaddhiś ciraṃ tadā |

saṃdhyākālaṃ samāsādya pratyāhāram akārayat |

သဉ္ဇယက ပြောသည်။ တိုက်ပွဲသည် အချိန်ကြာမြင့်စွာ ဆက်လက်ဖြစ်ပွားနေစဉ်—ရန်ဘက် ပाण्डဝ စစ်သည်တို့က မိမိတို့၏ ပစ်မှတ်ကို ထိမှန်ပြီးနောက် ပိုမိုတက်ကြွစွာ အားထုတ်တိုက်ခိုက်နေကြသော်လည်း—ဒုရ്യೋಧန မင်းသည် မိမိ၏ လက်ရုံးအင်အားကို ယုံကြည်ကာ ညနေချိန်အထိ တိုက်ပွဲကို ဆက်လက်ထိန်းထားခဲ့သည်။ မိုးချုပ်သို့ ရောက်လာသောအခါ စစ်တပ်ကို ဆုတ်ခွာ၍ စခန်းသို့ ပြန်ဝင်ရန် အမိန့်ပေး하였다။
