शिरोभशि: पातितैस्तत्र भूमिरासीज्निरन्तरा | अभ्रच्छायेव चैवासीदू ध्वाड्क्षगृभ्रबलैर्युधि,वहाँ गिराये हुए मस्तकोंसे वह रणभूमि ठसाठस भर गयी थी और उस युद्धस्थलमें कौओं तथा गीधोंकी सेनाके आ जानेसे वहाँ मेघकी छाया-सी प्रतीत होती थी
sañjaya uvāca | śirobhiḥ pātitais tatra bhūmir āsīn nirantarā | abhracchāyeva caivāsīd dhvāṅkṣa-gṛdhra-balair yudhi |
သဉ္ဇယက ပြောသည်– ထိုနေရာ၌ ဖြတ်ကျသွားသော ခေါင်းများကြောင့် စစ်မြေပြင်သည် အလွတ်မရှိအောင် ထူထပ်စွာ ဖုံးလွှမ်းသွားလေ၏။ ထို့ပြင် ထိုတိုက်ပွဲတွင် ကော်များနှင့် ဂျီဒ်များ အစုလိုက်အပြုံလိုက် စုဝေးလာသဖြင့် ထိုနေရာသည် မိုးတိမ်အရိပ်ကျသကဲ့သို့ ထင်မြင်ရလေ၏။
