विशालाक्षं सुकेशान्तं चारुवाक्यं सुगन्धि च । तव पुत्र कदा भूयो मुखं द्रक्ष्यामि निर्व्रणम्,“वत्स! बड़े-बड़े नेत्र, सुन्दर केशप्रान्त, मनोहर वाक्य और उत्तम सुगंधसे युक्त तुम्हारा घावरहित सुन्दर मुख मैं फिर कब देख पाऊँगी?
viśālākṣaṃ sukeśāntaṃ cāruvākyaṃ sugandhi ca | tava putra kadā bhūyo mukhaṃ drakṣyāmi nirvraṇam ||
သဉ္ဇယက ပြောသည်။ «သားရေ၊ မျက်လုံးကျယ်ဝန်း၍ ဆံပင်လှပစွာ ဝန်းရံထားသော၊ စကားချိုမြိန်၍ သင်းပျံ့သော—အနာမရှိသေးသော မင်း၏ လှပသည့် မျက်နှာကို ငါ ဘယ်အချိန်မှာ ထပ်မံ မြင်ရမည်နည်း?»
