Droṇa and Sātyaki: The Chariot Duel
ते पीड्यमाना द्रोणेन द्रोणानीक॑ न शकक््नुम: । प्रतिवीक्षितुमप्याजौ भेत्तुं तत् कुत एव तु,द्रोणाचार्यसे पीड़ित होनेके कारण हमलोग उनके सैन्यव्यूहकी ओर आँख उठाकर देख भी नहीं सकते थे; फिर युद्धभूमिमें उसका भेदन तो कर ही कैसे सकते थे?
te pīḍyamānā droṇena droṇānīkaṁ na śaknumaḥ | prativīkṣitum apy ājau bhettuṁ tat kuta eva tu ||
ယုဓိဋ္ဌိရက ပြောသည်— “ဒ్రోဏ၏ ဖိနှိပ်နှောင့်ယှက်မှုကြောင့် ကျွန်ုပ်တို့သည် စစ်မြေပြင်ပေါ်ရှိ ဒ్రోဏ၏ စစ်ဗျူဟာကို မျက်စိမြှောက်၍ ကြည့်နိုင်ခြင်းတောင် မရှိခဲ့ကြ။ ထို့ပြင် စစ်ပွဲတွင် ထိုဗျူဟာကို ခွဲဖောက်နိုင်မည်ဆိုသည်မှာ ဘယ်လိုဖြစ်နိုင်မည်နည်း?” ဤစကားသည် ဒ్రోဏ၏ ကျွမ်းကျင်မှုက ဖန်တီးသော စစ်ရေးနှင့် ဓမ္မရေး ဖိအားကို ထင်ရှားစေသည်—သူ၏ အင်အားသည် ကိုယ်ခန္ဓာတင် မဟုတ်ဘဲ စိတ်ပိုင်းဆိုင်ရာအထိ လွှမ်းမိုးကာ ဓမ္မစစ်ပွဲအတွင်း ပாண்டဝတို့၏ လုပ်ဆောင်နိုင်စွမ်းကို ကန့်သတ်ထားသည်။
