दुर्योधनश्व कि कृत्यं प्राप्तकालममन्यत । शत्रुओंको पीड़ा देनेवाले अर्जुनके प्रवेश करनेपर मेरी सेनाओंने क्या किया? तथा दुर्योधनने उस समयके अनुरूप कौन-सा कार्य उचित माना?
sañjaya uvāca | duryodhanaś ca kiṁ kṛtyaṁ prāptakālam amanyata | śatrūṇāṁ ko pīḍā-denavāle arjunasya praveśe mama senābhiḥ kiṁ kṛtam | tathā duryodhanena tasmin samaye’nurūpaṁ ko’pi kāryaṁ yuktam amanyata |
သဉ္ဇယက ပြောသည်– «အချိန်အခါ အရေးကြီးသို့ ရောက်လာသောအခါ ဒုရျောဓနသည် မည်သည့် လမ်းစဉ်ကို သင့်တော်သည်ဟု ထင်မြင်ခဲ့သနည်း။ ရန်သူတို့ကို နာကျင်စေသူ အာర్జုန စစ်မြေပြင်သို့ ဝင်ရောက်လာသောအခါ ကျွန်ုပ်၏ စစ်တပ်များက ဘာလုပ်ခဲ့သနည်း။ ထိုအချိန်အတွက် ဒုရျောဓနသည် မည်သည့် လုပ်ရပ်ကို သင့်လျော်သည်ဟု သတ်မှတ်ခဲ့သနည်း။»
