भीष्मस्य मध्याह्नयुद्धवर्णनम् / Mid-day Battle Description: Bhīṣma Engaged by the Pāñcālas
तेषु श्रान्तेषु भग्नेषु मृदितेषु च भारत
teṣu śrānteṣu bhagneṣu mṛditeṣu ca bhārata | rātriḥ saṃjajñe na ca sma dṛśyāmahe sevakāḥ | tataḥ kauravapāṇḍavāḥ svāṃ svāṃ senāṃ raṇabhūmitaḥ pratyāhartum ājñāpayām āsuḥ ||
သဉ္ဇယက ပြောသည်– ထိုစစ်သည်တို့ ပင်ပန်းနွမ်းနယ်၍ ကွဲပြားကျိုးပဲ့ကာ နင်းချေခံရသောအခါ၊ အို ဘာရတ၊ ညဉ့်အမှောင်ကျလာပြီး ကျွန်ုပ်တို့၏ အမှုထမ်းတို့ကို မမြင်နိုင်တော့하였다။ ထို့ကြောင့် ကောရဝနှင့် ပာဏ္ဍဝတို့သည် မိမိတို့၏ စစ်တပ်အသီးသီးကို စစ်မြေပြင်မှ ဆုတ်ခွာရန် အမိန့်ပေး하였다။
