Educational Q&A

Extraordinary capability and force can draw acknowledgment even from divine and sage witnesses, but the verse implicitly invites ethical reflection: greatness of power is not the same as greatness of righteousness, and the moral weight depends on the purpose and consequences of the deed.

Sañjaya reports that a powerful Rākṣasa has performed a remarkable act; observing it from the sky, the gods, Gandharvas, and sages react with amazement at the scale or effectiveness of what has been done.
