भीष्मरक्षण-उद्योगः, शिखण्डि-विवर्जनं, सर्वतोभद्र-व्यूहः

द्रोणश्न॒ सोमदत्तश्न बाह्लीको5थ जयद्रथ: । कृपो भूरिश्रवा: शल्य आवन्त्य: सबृहदूबल:
sañjaya uvāca |
droṇaś ca somadattaś ca bāhlīko 'tha jayadrathaḥ |
kṛpaḥ bhūriśravāḥ śalya āvantyaḥ sa bṛhadbalaḥ ||
သဉ္ဇယက ပြောသည်– ဒ్రோဏ၊ ဆိုမဒတ္တ၊ ဘာဟ္လိကမင်းနှင့် ဇယဒြထ၊ ကೃပ၊ ဘူရိශ්ရဝါ၊ သလျ၊ အဝန္တီမင်းသားနှင့် ဘృဟဒ္ဗလ—ဤနာမည်ကြီး စစ်သူရဲတို့ (နောက်တစ်ဆင့်တွင် အခြားသူများနှင့် သူတို့၏ လိုက်ပါသူများလည်း ပါဝင်လာသည်) သည် ရာක්ෂသကဲ့သို့ ကြမ်းတမ်းသော တိုက်ခိုက်မှုအောက်တွင် ရှိနေသော ဒုရ്യောဓနကို ကာကွယ်ရန် ချီတက်သွားကြသည်။ ထိုမဟာရഥသူရဲတို့၏ ကာကွယ်ထောက်ပံ့မှုကြောင့် ကောရဝစစ်တပ်သည် အနိုင်ယူရန် အလွန်ခက်ခဲလာ하였다။
