Varṣa-Parvata-Nivāsinām Varnanam
Description of Regions, Mountains, and Their Inhabitants
वेदस्मृतां वेदवतीं त्रिदिवामिक्षुलां कृमिम् । करीषिणीं चित्रवाहां चित्रसेनां च निम्नगाम्
vedasmṛtāṁ vedavatīṁ tridivām ikṣulāṁ kṛmim | karīṣiṇīṁ citravāhāṁ citrasenāṁ ca nimnagām ||
သဉ္ဇယက ပြောသည်– «အခြားမြစ်များကိုလည်း ငါအမည်တပ်၍ ပြောမည်—ဝေဒသ္မృతာ၊ ဝေဒဝတီ၊ တြိဒိဝာ၊ အိက္ṣုလာ၊ ကೃမိ၊ ကရီးṣiṇီ၊ စိတြဝါဟာ နှင့် စိတြစေနာမြစ်»။ ဘာရတ၏ ရေစီးများကို စာရင်းပြုစုရာတွင် အဓိကထားသည်မှာ မြေ၏ သန့်ရှင်းသော ပထဝီဖြစ်သည်—လူမျိုးစုံတို့သည် ဤနေရာ၌ နေထိုင်ကာ အသက်ပေးစီးဆင်းမှုများကြောင့် ထောက်ပံ့ခံရပြီး၊ ထိုရေများကို အမည်ဖြင့် မှတ်မိ၍ ဂုဏ်ပြုကြသည်။
