भीष्मवधाय प्रयाणम् — The Advance toward Bhīṣma and Counter-Engagements
चित्रसेनो विकर्णश्ष कार्ष्णि पञचभिरायसै: । विव्याध तेन चाकम्पत् कार्ष्णिमिरुरिव स्थित:
sañjaya uvāca | citraseno vikarṇaś ca kārṣṇiṃ pañcabhir āyasaiḥ | vivyādha tena cākampat kārṣṇir merur iva sthitaḥ ||
သဉ္ဇယက ပြောသည်– စိတ္တရသေနနှင့် ဝိကဏ္ဏတို့သည် ကာရ္ṣṇိ (အဘိမန္ယု) ကို သံမြားငါးစင်းဖြင့် ထိုးနှက်ကြ၏။ သို့သော် ထိုထိုးနှက်မှုအောက်၌ပင် အာర్జုန၏ သားသည် မလှုပ်မယှက်၊ မတုန်မလှုပ်ဘဲ မေရုတောင်ကဲ့သို့ တည်ကြည်စွာ ရပ်တည်နေ하였다—စစ်၏ အကြမ်းဖက်မှုအလယ်၌ တည်ကြည်သတ္တိနှင့် စည်းကမ်းရှိသော ဆုံးဖြတ်ချက်ကို ပုံဖော်သည့် အရိပ်အယောင်တည်း။
