“धृतराष्ट्रके सभी पुत्रों तथा उसके पक्षमें आये हुए सभी श्रेष्ठ नरेशोंको मारकर मैं प्रसन्नतापूर्वक आज अजातशत्रु राजा युधिष्ठिरको राज्यसे सम्पन्न कर दूँगा” ।।
sañjaya uvāca | “dhṛtarāṣṭrake sabhī putroṃ tathā usake pakṣameṃ āye hue sabhī śreṣṭha nareśoṃ ko mārakara maiṃ prasannatāpūrvaka āja ajātaśatru rājā yudhiṣṭhira ko rājyase sampanna kara dūṃgā” || sañjaya uvāca (itīdam uktvā sa mahānubhāvaḥ sasmāra cakraṃ niśitaṃ purāṇam | sudarśanaṃ cintitamātrameva tasyāgrahastaṃ svayam āruroha ||) tataḥ sunābhaṃ vasudevaputraḥ sūryaprabhaṃ vajrasamaprabhāvam | kṣurāntam udyamya bhujena cakraṃ rathād avaplutya visṛjya vāhān ||
သဉ္ဇယက ပြောသည်– «ဓೃತရာෂ္ဌရ၏ သားအပေါင်းတို့နှင့် သူ့ဘက်သို့ လာရောက်ကူညီသော အထူးမြတ်သော မင်းများအားလုံးကို သတ်ဖြတ်ပြီးနောက် ငါသည် ယနေ့ပင် အဇာတသတ္တရု ယုဓိဋ္ဌိရမင်းကို အာဏာအုပ်စိုးမှု၌ ခိုင်မြဲစွာ တင်မြှောက်ပေးမည်»။ ထိုသို့ဆိုပြီးနောက် မဟာသတ္တိရှိသော သရီကృష్ణသည် မိမိ၏ ရှေးဟောင်း၍ အစွန်းထက်သော လက်နက်– စုဒർശန စက်ဝိုင်းကို သတိရလေ၏။ စိတ်ထဲတွင် တစ်ချက်မျှ စဉ်းစားလိုက်သည်နှင့်ပင် ထိုစက်ဝိုင်းသည် သူ၏ လက်ဖျားရှေ့တွင် ကိုယ်တိုင်ပေါ်လာ하였다။ ထို့နောက် ဝာစုဒေဝ၏ သားတော်က ထိုစက်ဝိုင်းကို မြှောက်ယူလေ၏– အလယ်ခေါင်း (နာဘိ) သာယာလှပ၍ အလင်းရောင်သည် နေကဲ့သို့ တောက်ပ၊ အင်အားသည် မိုးကြိုးကဲ့သို့ ပြင်းထန်၊ အစွန်းသည် ဓားသွားကဲ့သို့ ထက်မြက်하였다။ မြင်းကြိုးကို လွှတ်၍ ရထားမှ ခုန်ဆင်းကာ လက်မောင်းဖြင့် စက်ဝိုင်းကို လှည့်ဝိုင်းလျက် ကృష్ణသည် စစ်မြေပြင်တစ်လျှောက် ဘီష္မထံသို့ အလွန်မြန်စွာ ပြေးဝင်သွားသည်– ခြေသံကြောင့် မြေကြီးတုန်ခါပြီး၊ မာန်ထောင်၍ မူးယစ်နေသော ဆင်မင်းကို သတ်လိုသည့် ခြင်္သေ့ကဲ့သို့ ဖြစ်လေသည်။
