शल्य उवाच किमत्र ब्रूहि साहां ते करोमि नृपसत्तम । काम योत्स्ये परस्यार्थे बद्धो<5स्म्यर्थेन कौरवै:
śalya uvāca: kim atra brūhi sahāyaṃ te karomi nṛpasattama | kāmaṃ yotsye parasya arthe baddho 'smy arthena kauravaiḥ ||
ရှလျက ပြောသည်– «ဤနေရာ၌ ငါသည် မင်းမြတ်ကြီးအား ဘာကူညီပေးရမည်နည်း၊ အို မင်းတို့အထွဋ်အမြတ်? ငါ၏ဆန္ဒသည် အခြားသို့ လိုလားသော်လည်း ကౌရဝတို့၏ ငွေကြေးနှင့် အကြွေးအတင်တို့ကြောင့် ငါသည် ချည်နှောင်ခံထားရ၏။ ထို့ကြောင့် ငါသည် ငါရွေးချယ်သလို မင်း၏ပြိုင်ဘက်ဘက်မှ စစ်တိုက်မည်»။
