Bhīṣma-nipāta-saṃvāda — Sañjaya’s Report of Bhīṣma’s Fall (भीष्मनिपातसंवादः)
यस्मिज्जाते महावीरयें शान्तनुलोकविश्रुत: । शोकं दैन्यं च दुःखं च प्राजहात् पुत्रलक्ष्मणि
yasmiñ jāte mahāvīrye śāntanulokaviśrutaḥ | śokaṁ dainyaṁ ca duḥkhaṁ ca prājahāt putralakṣmaṇi ||
ဓృతရာෂ္ဋ္ရက ပြောသည်– «ကမ္ဘာလောကအနှံ့ ရှာန္တနု၏ သားဟု ကျော်ကြားသော မဟာသူရဲကောင်း ထိုသူ မွေးဖွားလာသောအခါ၊ သားတော်အဖြစ် အလှတရားကြီးသော ကောင်းချီးတစ်ပါး ပေါ်ထွန်းလာသဖြင့် ငါသည် ဝမ်းနည်းခြင်း၊ အားနည်းခြင်းနှင့် ဒုက္ခတို့ကို စွန့်လွှတ်နိုင်ခဲ့သည်»
