Adhyāya 90: Babhruvāhana’s Reception and the Commencement of Yudhiṣṭhira’s Aśvamedha
पुत्रप्रदानाद् वरदस्तस्मात् सक्तून् प्रयच्छ मे । आप पालन करनेके कारण मेरे पति, भरण-पोषण करनेसे भर्ता और पुत्र प्रदान करनेके कारण वरदाता हैं, इसलिये मेरे हिस्सेका सत्तू अतिथिदेवताको अर्पण कीजिये
nakula uvāca | putrapradānād varadas tasmāt saktūn prayaccha me |
နကူလာက ပြောသည်—“သားကို ပေးသနားသောကြောင့် သူသည် ကျေးဇူးရှင် (အကျိုးပေးသူ) ဖြစ်၏။ ထို့ကြောင့် ငါ့အပိုင်းဖြစ်သော ကင်မုယောမှုန့် (စတ္တု) ကို ငါ့အား ပေးလော့။” အကြောင်းအရာအရ ဤစကားသည် အိမ်ထောင်ရေးတာဝန်များ—ကာကွယ်ခြင်း၊ ထောက်ပံ့ပြုစုခြင်း၊ သားသမီးပေးခြင်း—တို့က ကျေးဇူးသိတတ်မှုနှင့် တရားမျှတသော အခွင့်အရေးတို့ကို ဖြစ်စေကြောင်း၊ ထို့ပြင် ဧည့်သည် (အတိသီ) ထံ ပူဇော်ခြင်းသည် ဓမ္မနှင့် သင့်တော်သော အပိုင်းအခြားအတိုင်း ဖြစ်ရမည်ကို ထင်ဟပ်စေသည်။
