श्रीभगवानुवाच कृतो यत्नो मया पूर्व सौशाम्ये कौरवान् प्रति । नाशक्यन्त यदा साम्ये ते स्थापयितुमज्जसा
śrībhagavān uvāca kṛto yatno mayā pūrvaṃ sauśāmye kauravān prati | nāśakyanta yadā sāmye te sthāpayitum ajjasā ||
ဘုရားသခင်က မိန့်တော်မူသည်– «အရင်က ငါသည် ကောရဝတို့ကို ပြန်လည်ညီညွတ်ရေးနှင့် ငြိမ်းချမ်းရေးသို့ ခေါ်ဆောင်ရန် ကြိုးပမ်းခဲ့သည်။ သို့သော် သူတို့ကို သဟဇာတညီညွတ်မှု၌ လွယ်ကူစွာ တည်မြဲအောင် မထားနိုင်သည့်အခါ၊ သဟဇာတ၏လမ်းသည် အမြစ်မချနိုင်ခဲ့»
