Yudhiṣṭhira’s Grief, Kṛṣṇa’s Consolation, and Vyāsa’s Admonition (युधिष्ठिरशोक-निवारणोपदेशः)

(यथा वै कामजां मायां परित्यक्तुं त्वमहसि । तथा तु कुर्वन्‌ नृपतिननिबन्धेन युज्यते ।।

yudhiṣṭhira uvāca |

yathā vai kāmajāṃ māyāṃ parityaktuṃ tvam arhasi |

tathā tu kurvan nṛpatir anibandhena yujyate ||

asakṛc cāpi saṃdehāś chinnās te kāmajā mayā |

aśraddadhāno durmedhā luptasmṛtir asi dhruvam ||

ယုဓိဋ္ဌိရက ပြောသည်– «ဆန္ဒမှ ပေါက်ဖွားသော မာယာကို သင် စွန့်ပစ်သင့်သကဲ့သို့ပင်၊ အဲဒီလို လုပ်ဆောင်သော မင်း—ဆန္ဒပေါ်က မောဟကို စွန့်လွှတ်သော မင်း—သည် ချည်နှောင်ခြင်းထဲ မကျရ။ ငါသည် သင်၏ ဆန္ဒမှ ပေါက်ဖွားသော သံသယများကို ထပ်ခါထပ်ခါ ဖြတ်တောက်ပေးခဲ့၏။ သို့ရာတွင် ယုံကြည်မှုမရှိ၊ အမြင်မရှင်းသော ဉာဏ်ကြောင့် သင် မလက်ခံ။ ထို့ကြောင့်ပင် သင်၏ မှတ်ဉာဏ်နှင့် ခွဲခြားသိမြင်မှုတို့ မိုက်မှောင်သွားသည်ဟု သေချာသည်»။
