वायुदेव उवाच
The verse highlights mokṣa-dharma as a lived commitment: a realized teacher delivers a concise, purposeful instruction and then withdraws, emphasizing that liberation depends on the disciple’s internalization and practice, not on external dependence.
Vāyudeva recounts that an eminent Brahmin-sage addressed him (with Arjuna being the listener addressed as ‘Pārtha’) and, after finishing his message, disappeared on the spot—signaling the completion and authority of the teaching episode.
