Suvarṇa-dāna: Kārttikeya’s Origin and the Defeat of Tāraka (सुवर्णदान-प्रसङ्गे कार्त्तिकेय-उत्पत्ति तथा तारकवधः)
अत्राप्युदाहरन्तीममितिहासं पुरातनम् । पितामहस्य संवादमिन्द्रस्य च युधिष्ठिर,युधिष्ठिर! इस विषयमें विद्वान् पुरुष इन्द्र और ब्रह्माजीके इस प्राचीन इतिहासका उदाहरण दिया करते हैं
atrāpy udāharantīmam itihāsaṁ purātanam | pitāmahasya saṁvādam indrasya ca yudhiṣṭhira ||
ဘီရှ္မက မိန့်တော်မူသည်– «ဤအကြောင်းအရာ၌လည်း အို ယုဓိဋ္ဌိရ၊ ပညာရှိတို့သည် ရှေးဟောင်းသမိုင်းတစ်ပုဒ်ကို ဥပမာအဖြစ် ထုတ်ပြောကြသည်။ ထိုသည်ကား ပိတామဟ (ဗြဟ္မာ) နှင့် အိန္ဒြာတို့၏ ဆွေးနွေးပွဲ ဖြစ်သည်»။
