पर्णशालेति विख्यातो रमणीयो नराधिप । विद्वांसस्तत्र भूयिष्ठा ब्राह्म॒णाश्चावसंस्तथा
Bhīṣma uvāca | Parṇaśāleti vikhyāto ramaṇīyo narādhipa | vidvāṁsas tatra bhūyiṣṭhā brāhmaṇāś cāvasaṁs tathā ||
ဘိဿမက ပြောသည်— «အို မင်းကြီး၊ လူတို့အကြား ‘ပရဏ္ဏရှာလာ’ ဟူ၍ နာမည်ကျော်သော သာယာလှပသည့် အခြေချရာတစ်ခု ရှိ၏။ ထိုနေရာ၌ ပညာရှိ ဘြာဟ္မဏများ အလွန်များစွာ နေထိုင်ကြပြီး၊ ဂင်္ဂါနှင့် ယမုနာကြားရှိ သန့်ရှင်းသော အလယ်ဒေသ၌၊ ယမုနာတောင်တန်းအနီးရှိ နိမ့်မြေပြင်တွင် တည်ရှိသည်။ ဤမြင်ကွင်းသည် ဓမ္မဆန်သော အခင်းအကျင်းကို တည်ဆောက်ပေးသည်—ပညာနှင့် ဘြာဟ္မဏကျင့်ဝတ်အပေါ် အခြေခံသည့် အသိုင်းအဝိုင်းတစ်ရပ်မှ နောက်တစ်ဆင့် သင်ခန်းစာနှင့် ဥပမာဇာတ်လမ်းများ ပေါ်ထွန်းလာမည်ဖြစ်သည်»။
