Karma-Phala Rahasya and the Ethics of Dāna (कर्मफल-रहस्यं दानधर्मश्च)
इस प्रकार श्रीमह्याभारत अनुशासनपर्वके अन्तर्गत दानधर्मपर्वमें दैव और पुरुषार्थका निर्देशविषयक छठा अध्याय पूरा हुआ
cakṣur dadyān mano dadyād vācaṃ dadyāc ca sūnṛtām | anuvrajed upāsīta sa yajñaḥ pañca-dakṣiṇaḥ ||
ဘီရှ္မက မိန့်ကြားသည်– ဧည့်သည်လာလျှင် မျက်နှာချိုသာသော အကြည့်ကို ပေးရမည်၊ စိတ်ကိုလည်း ဝန်ဆောင်မှု၌ အာရုံစိုက်ပေးရမည်၊ ထို့ပြင် နူးညံ့၍ မှန်ကန်သော စကားကို ပေးရမည်။ ဧည့်သည် ထွက်ခွာသည့်အခါ အနည်းငယ် လိုက်ပို့ရမည်၊ နေထိုင်စဉ်တလျှောက်လည်း ကြိုဆိုဂုဏ်ပြုမှု၌ အမြဲတမ်း တက်ကြွနေရမည်။ ဤအလုပ်ငါးပါးကို အိမ်ထောင်ရှင်က ပြုလုပ်ခြင်းသည် ဒက္ခိဏာငါးပါးပါဝင်သော ယဇ်—ဧည့်ဝတ်ပြုခြင်းနှင့် သီလကျင့်ဝတ်၏ နေ့စဉ်ယဇ် ဖြစ်သည်။
