Nṛga-upākhyāna: Brāhmaṇa-sva and the Consequence of Misappropriated Gift-Cattle (कृकलास-रूपे नृगोपाख्यानम्)
सर्वसत्रैश्न यजते यस्तिलैर्यजते पितृन् | न चाकामेन दातव्यं तिलश्राद्धं कदाचन
bhīṣma uvāca | sarvasatraiś ca yajate yas tilair yajate pitṝn | na cākāmena dātavyaṃ tilaśrāddhaṃ kadācana ||
ဘီရှ္မက မိန့်ကြားသည်– လှမ်းစေ့ (နှမ်း) ဖြင့် ပိတೃ (ဘိုးဘွားဝိညာဉ်) များကို ပူဇော်သူသည် ယဇ္ဉ်အမျိုးမျိုးအားလုံးကို ပြုလုပ်ပြီးသကဲ့သို့ ဖြစ်၏။ သို့ရာတွင် သြရဒ္ဓ၌ နှမ်းပူဇော်ခြင်းကို စိတ်မထားဘဲ၊ မရည်ရွယ်ဘဲ မပေးရ; မလျစ်လျူရှုသဘောဖြင့် မပြုရဘဲ၊ ရည်ရွယ်ချက်တိတိကျကျနှင့် သဒ္ဓါပြည့်ဝစွာ ပြုလုပ်ရ၏။
