दानफलप्रकरणम् — उपानहदानं, तिलदानं, भूमिदानं, गोदानं, अन्नदानं च
Gifts and Their Stated Results: Footwear, Sesame, Land, Cows, and Food
अप्यल्पं प्रददुः सर्वे पृथिव्या इति नः श्रुतम् । भूमिमेव ददुः सर्वे भूमिं ते भुञज्जते जना:
apy alpaṁ pradaduḥ sarve pṛthivyā iti naḥ śrutam | bhūmim eva daduḥ sarve bhūmiṁ te bhuñjate janāḥ ||
ဘီရှ္မက ပြောသည်– «မြေကို အနည်းငယ်သာ လှူဒါန်းသူတို့တောင် မြေလှူဒါန်းခြင်း၏ အပြည့်အဝသော အကျိုးကို ရကြသည်ဟု ငါတို့ ကြားဖူးသည်။ အမှန်တကယ် မြေကို ပေးလှူသူတိုင်းကို ‘ကမ္ဘာမြေ’ ကိုပင် ပေးလှူသူဟု သတ်မှတ်ကြပြီး၊ ထိုသူတို့သည် အလှူမြေကိုပင် နောက်ဘဝ၌ အကျိုးအဖြစ် ခံစားကြသည်»။
