अन्न पानं च माल्यं च वासांस्याभरणानि च । ब्राह्मण्यैतानि देयानि भर्तु: सा हि गरीयसी

Transliteration

anna-pānaṃ ca mālyaṃ ca vāsāṃsy ābharaṇāni ca | brāhmaṇyaitāni deyāni bhartuḥ sā hi garīyasī ||

Translation

ဘီရှ္မက ပြောသည်– «အစားအစာနှင့် သောက်စရာ၊ ပန်းကုံး၊ အဝတ်အစားနှင့် အလှဆင်ပစ္စည်းများ—ဤအရာတို့ကို ခင်ပွန်းထံ ဆက်ကပ်ပေးရမည်မှာ ဗြာဟ္မဏမယားပင် ဖြစ်သည်။ အကြောင်းမူကား ဤတာဝန်၌ သူမသည် အခြားမိန်းမတို့ထက် ပိုမိုဂုဏ်သိက္ခာရှိသူ ဖြစ်သည်»။
