Ānṛśaṃsya–Bhakti: Śukaḥ Śakreṇa Parīkṣitaḥ
Compassion and Devotion—The Parrot Tested by Indra
तस्मिन् वक्षे तथाभूते कोटरेषु चिरोषित: । न जहाति शुको वासं तस्य भक्त्या वनस्पते:
tasmin vakṣe tathābhūte koṭareṣu ciroṣitaḥ | na jahāti śuko vāsaṃ tasya bhaktyā vanaspateḥ ||
ဘီရှ္မက ပြောသည်– ထိုသစ်ပင်သည် ထိုသို့သောအခြေအနေသို့ ရောက်လာသောအခါ၊ အခေါင်းအတွင်း၌ ကြာရှည်စွာ နေထိုင်လာသော ကြက်တူရွေးတစ်ကောင်သည် မိမိအိမ်ကို မစွန့်ခွာခဲ့။ ထိုသစ်ပင်အပေါ် သစ္စာနှင့် တွယ်တာမှုကြောင့်၊ သစ်ပင်ခြောက်သွေ့လာသော်လည်း ထိုနေရာကို မထားခဲ့—ကျေးဇူးသိတတ်မှုနှင့် သစ္စာတည်ကြည်မှုသည် ကျဆင်းချိန်တွင်ပင် မစွန့်ပစ်ကြောင်းကို ပြသသည်။
