Ānṛśaṃsya–Bhakti: Śukaḥ Śakreṇa Parīkṣitaḥ
Compassion and Devotion—The Parrot Tested by Indra
अस्मिन्नहं टद्रुमे जात: साधुभिश्न गुणैर्युत: । बालभावेन संगुप्त: शत्रुभिश्षल न धर्षित:
asminn ahaṃ tad-drume jātaḥ sādhubhiś ca guṇair yutaḥ | bāla-bhāvena saṃguptaḥ śatrubhiś ca na dharṣitaḥ ||
ဘီရှ္မက ပြောသည်– «ဤသစ်ပင်ပေါ်၌ပင် ငါ မွေးဖွားခဲ့ပြီး၊ ဤနေရာ၌ပင် ကောင်းသူတို့ ချီးမွမ်းသော ဂုဏ်သတ္တိများနှင့် ပြည့်စုံလာအောင် ကြီးပြင်းခဲ့သည်။ အုပ်ထိန်းသူက ကလေးကို ကာကွယ်သကဲ့သို့ ဤသစ်ပင်က ငါ့ကို ကာကွယ်ပေးခဲ့၍ ရန်သူတို့သည် ငါ့ကို မအနိုင်ယူ မဖောက်ဖျက်နိုင်ခဲ့ကြ»။
