स्त्रीस्वभावप्रश्नः — Nārada and Pañcacūḍā on Strī-svabhāva
Anuśāsana-parva 38
न चान्यदिह कर्तव्यं किज्चिदूर्ध्व यथाविधि । गुप्तो गोपायते ब्रह्मा श्रेयो वस्तेन शोभनम्
bhīṣma uvāca | na cānyad iha kartavyaṃ kiñcid ūrdhvaṃ yathāvidhi | gupto gopāyate brahmā śreyo vastena śobhanam ||
ဘီရှ္မက ဆိုသည်– «ဤလောက၌ စည်းကမ်းတရားအတိုင်း ချမှတ်ထားသမျှကို ကျင့်ဆောင်ခြင်းထက် ပို၍ လုပ်စရာမရှိ။ ဗြဟ္မဏ (brahma) ကို ကာကွယ်ပေးလျှင် ထိုဗြဟ္မဏသည်လည်း ပြန်လည်၍ ကာကွယ်သူကို ကာကွယ်ပေး၏။ ထိုအရာ၌ပင် အမှန်တကယ် မင်္ဂလာနှင့် အထူးကောင်းမြတ်မှု တည်ရှိသည်။ ထို့ကြောင့် သတ်မှတ်ထားသော အစဉ်အလာကို လိုက်နာသူတို့အတွက် အမြင့်ဆုံးကောင်းကျိုးသည် ဗြဟ္မဏတို့ကို ကာကွယ်၍ ဝတ်ပြုခြင်းနှင့် ကိုယ့်ဓမ္မကို ထိန်းသိမ်းခြင်းမှ ပေါ်ပေါက်လာသည်»။
