पात्रलक्षण-परिक्षा (Pātra-Lakṣaṇa Parīkṣā) — Criteria for a Worthy Recipient
वासयेत गृहे राजन् न तस्मात् परमस्ति वै । राजन! विशुद्ध जातिसे युक्त तथा तीक्ष्ण व्रतका पालन करनेवाले धर्मज्ञ ब्राह्मणको अपने घरमें ठहराना चाहिये। इससे बढ़कर दूसरा कोई पुण्यकर्म नहीं है

ဘီရှ္မက မိန့်ကြားသည်— «အို မင်းကြီး၊ မိမိအိမ်၌ ဧည့်သည်ကို တည်းခိုစေသင့်၏။ အမှန်တကယ် ထိုထက် မြင့်မားသော ကုသိုလ်မရှိ»။ ဓမ္မအရ ဤဝါကျသည် အတိသေဝါ (atithi-sevā)—ထိုက်တန်သော ဧည့်သည်များကို ဂုဏ်ပြု၍ ထောက်ပံ့စောင့်ရှောက်ခြင်း (အထူးသဖြင့် ပညာရှိ၍ စည်းကမ်းတကျနေထိုင်သော ဗြာဟ္မဏများ) ကို အမြင့်ဆုံး ဓမ္မကိစ္စအဖြစ် ချီးမြှောက်ထားသည်။
