Mataṅga–Śakra Dialogue on Tapas, Status, and Moral Qualities
इन्दुब्रतसहस्र॑ तु यश्चरेत् कायशोधनम् । पिबेद् यश्चापि गज्भाम्भ: समौ स्यातां न वा समौ
induvrata-sahasraṁ tu yaś caret kāya-śodhanam | pibed yaś cāpi gaṅgāmbhaḥ samau syātāṁ na vā samau ||
သိဒ္ဓက ပြောသည်— «ကိုယ်ခန္ဓာသန့်စင်ရန် စန္ဒြာယဏ (Cāndrāyaṇa) လပြည့်လကွယ် အပြစ်ဖြေဝတ်ကို တစ်ထောင်ကြိမ် ကျင့်သူတစ်ဦးရှိနိုင်သည်။ အခြားတစ်ဦးကတော့ ဂင်္ဂါရေကိုသာ သောက်သည်။ ထိုနှစ်ဦးကို တူညီဟုလည်း မှတ်ယူနိုင်သကဲ့သို့—မတူညီဟုလည်း ဖြစ်နိုင်ပြီး၊ ဂင်္ဂါရေသောက်ခြင်းက ပိုမိုမြင့်မားနိုင်သည်»။
