अजड्रिय उवाच
The verse teaches that sincere purification through tirtha-bathing at a sanctified place can yield the same spiritual merit as a major sacrifice, emphasizing accessibility of dharmic reward through purity and reverence rather than only through costly ritual.
The speaker describes a specific pilgrimage act: going to Brahmasaras, a sacred pool beautified by the Dharma-forest, bathing there, and thereby attaining the fruit of the Puṇḍarīka sacrifice.
