करन्धमो नरश्रेष्ठ: कथध्मोरक्ष नराधिप: । दक्षो5म्बरीष: कुकुरो रैवतश्न महायशा:

Transliteration

bhīṣma uvāca |

karandhamo naraśreṣṭhaḥ kathadhmorakṣa narādhipaḥ |

dakṣo 'mbharīṣaḥ kukuro raivataś ca mahāyaśāḥ ||

Translation

ဘီရှ္မက မိန့်တော်မူသည်—«(ထပ်မံ၍) ဤထင်ရှားသော ရာဇဣသီတို့၏ အမည်များကို နားထောင်ကြလော့—လူတို့တွင် အကောင်းဆုံး ကရန္ဓမ; မင်းတို့အကြား အရှင် ကထဓ္မောရ; ဒက္ခ; အမ္ဗရိရှ; ကုကူရ; နှင့် အလွန်ကျော်ကြားသော ရိုင်ဝတ»။ ဤအခန်း၏ အကြောင်းအရာအရ ဘီရှ္မသည် သာသနာတရား(ဓမ္မ)ကို ပျိုးထောင်စေပြီး အကျိုးကျေးဇူးပေးသည်ဟု ယုံကြည်သော မင်းကောင်းမင်းမြတ်တို့၏ အမည်စာရင်းကို ကုသိုလ်ကောင်းအဖြစ် ရွတ်ဆိုပြနေသည်။
