नामधेयानि देवेषु बहुन्यस्य यथार्थवत् । निरुच्यन्ते महत्त्वाच्च विभुत्वात् कर्मभिस्तथा,उनकी महत्ता, व्यापकता तथा दिव्य कर्मोंके अनुसार देवताओंमें उनके बहुत-से यथार्थ नाम प्रचलित हैं
nāmadheyāni deveṣu bahūny asya yathārthavat | nirucyante mahattvāc ca vibhutvāt karmabhis tathā ||
ဝါယုက မိန့်တော်မူသည်– «ဒေဝတို့အကြား၌ သူ့ကို ခေါ်ဝေါ်သည့် အမည်များ များစွာရှိပြီး၊ အမည်တစ်ခုချင်းစီသည် အဓိပ္ပါယ်မှန်ကန်လျက်—သူ၏ မဟာတန်ခိုး၊ အလုံးစုံပျံ့နှံ့သော အာဏာ၊ ထို့ပြင် သူ၏ ဒိဗ္ဗကမ္မများကြောင့် ပေါ်ပေါက်လာသည်။ ထို့ကြောင့် အမည်အမျိုးမျိုးကို သုံးစွဲခြင်းသည် အလွတ်သဘော ထုံးစံမဟုတ်ဘဲ၊ အမည်သည် အမှန်တကယ်သော ဂုဏ်သတ္တိနှင့် လုပ်ရပ်တို့နှင့် ကိုက်ညီရမည်ဟူသော သဘောတရားကို အသိအမှတ်ပြုခြင်းပင် ဖြစ်သည်»။
