अध्याय १६ — शङ्कर-उमा-वरदानम् तथा तण्डि-स्तुतिः (Śaṅkara–Umā Boon-Granting and Taṇḍi’s Hymn)
नूनमद्य कृतार्था: सम नून॑ प्राप्ता: सतां गतिम् । यां गतिं प्रार्थयन्तीह ज्ञाननिर्मलबुद्धयः
nūnam adya kṛtārthāḥ sma nūnaṁ prāptāḥ satāṁ gatim | yāṁ gatiṁ prārthayantīha jñāna-nirmala-buddhayaḥ ||
ဝါယုက မိန့်တော်မူသည်– «ယနေ့ အမှန်တကယ် ကျွန်ုပ်တို့၏ ရည်ရွယ်ချက် ပြည့်စုံပြီ။ အမှန်ပင် သဒ္ဓမ္မရှိသူတို့ ရောက်သည့် ဂတိကို ကျွန်ုပ်တို့ ရောက်ရှိပြီ။ ဤလောက၌ ဉာဏ်ကြောင့် စိတ်ဉာဏ်သန့်စင်သော ပညာရှိတို့ ဆုတောင်းလိုသော ထိုဂတိကိုပင် ကျွန်ုပ်တို့ သေချာစွာ ရရှိခဲ့ပြီ။ ထို့ကြောင့် ယနေ့ ကျွန်ုပ်တို့သည် အမှန်တကယ် ကိစ္စပြီးမြောက်သူများ ဖြစ်ကြပြီ»။
