अयं च काल: सम्प्राप्तो दुर्लभो ज्ञातिबान्धवै: । शास्ता च न हि नः कश्ित् त्वामृते पुरुषर्षभ
ayaṃ ca kālaḥ samprāpto durlabho jñātibāndhavaiḥ | śāstā ca na hi naḥ kaścit tvām ṛte puruṣarṣabha ||
အို လူထူးလူမြတ်၊ ဤအချိန်သည် ယခုရောက်လာပြီ—ကျွန်ုပ်တို့၏ ဆွေမျိုးမိတ်ဆွေတို့အတွက် ရှားပါးလှ၏။ ထို့ပြင် ကျွန်ုပ်တို့အတွက် သင်မှတပါး ဓမ္မကို ပြည့်စုံစွာ သင်ကြားပေးမည့် ဆရာတစ်ဦးမျှ မရှိပါ။
युधिछिर उवाच
Dharma-instruction is portrayed as a rare, time-sensitive opportunity, and the verse emphasizes reliance on a uniquely qualified teacher whose guidance is indispensable for understanding and practicing comprehensive dharma.
Yudhiṣṭhira addresses an eminent elder/authority, stating that a rare occasion has come for their family to receive instruction, and that apart from this person there is no one else capable of teaching them the full scope of dharma.
