नास्याहं न मदीयो<यं पापं कुर्याद् विमानित: । इति दद्याद् भयादेव दृढं मूढाय पण्डित:
bhīṣma uvāca | nāsyāhaṃ na madīyo 'yaṃ pāpaṃ kuryād vimānitaḥ | iti dadyād bhayād eva dṛḍhaṃ mūḍhāya paṇḍitaḥ |
ဘိဿမက မိန့်ကြားသည်– «ငါသည် သူ၏သူမဟုတ်၊ သူလည်း ငါ၏သူမဟုတ်။ သို့ရာတွင် ငါက ဘာမျှမပေးလျှင် သူသည် အရှက်တရားကြောင့် ဒေါသထွက်ကာ ငါ့အပေါ် အပြစ်ကံကို ပြုမူနိုင်သည်»။ ထို့ကြောင့် ပညာရှိသည် မိုက်သူတစ်ဦးအား ခိုင်ခိုင်မာမာ—ကြောက်ရွံ့ခြင်းကြောင့်သာ—လှူဒါန်းနိုင်သည်။ ထိုသို့သော လှူဒါန်းခြင်းသည် ကြောက်ရွံ့မှုအခြေပြုသော ဒါနဖြစ်၍ စေတနာသန့်ရှင်းခြင်း သို့မဟုတ် ဓမ္မအခြေပြုခြင်း မဟုတ်။
