वैशम्पायन उवाच एवं पृष्टो नरेन्द्रेण पाण्डवेन यशस्विना । धर्माणां परम॑ गुह्ां भीष्म: प्रोवाच पार्थिवम्‌

Vaiśampāyana uvāca: evaṁ pṛṣṭo narendreṇa pāṇḍavena yaśasvinā | dharmāṇāṁ paramaṁ guhyaṁ Bhīṣmaḥ provāca pārthivam ||

ဝိုင်ရှမ္ပာယနက ဆို၏— ထိုသို့ ဂုဏ်သတင်းကြီးသော ပाण्डဝ မင်းတော်က မေးမြန်းသဖြင့်၊ ဘီရှ္မသည် မင်းအပေါ်သို့ ဓမ္မ၏ အမြင့်မြတ်ဆုံးနှင့် အလွန်လျှို့ဝှက်သော အနှစ်သာရ—တရားမျှတသော အုပ်ချုပ်မှုနှင့် အကျင့်အကြံ၏ အနက်ရှိုင်းဆုံး လမ်းညွှန်ချက်—ကို ကြေညာရန် စတင်လေ၏။
