स बुद्धिश्रुतिसम्पन्नस्तं दृष्टवातीव भीषणम् | सामैवास्मिन् प्रयुयुजे न मुमोह न विव्यथे
sa buddhiśrutisampannas taṃ dṛṣṭvātīva bhīṣaṇam | sāmaivāsmin prayuyuje na mumoh na vivyathe ||
သူသည် ဆုံးဖြတ်ဉာဏ်ကောင်း၍ သာသနာကျမ်းဂရंथများကိုလည်း သိမြင်သူဖြစ်သဖြင့်၊ အလွန်ကြောက်မက်ဖွယ်ကောင်းသော ရက္ခသကို မြင်သော်လည်း စိတ်မပျက် မတုန်လှုပ်ခဲ့။ ထိုအစား သူသည် ထိုရက္ခသအပေါ် ပြေလည်ညှိနှိုင်းသော sāma နည်းကိုသာ အသုံးချ၍ တည်ငြိမ်သည့် စကားဖြင့် ရင်ဆိုင်하였다။
