भीष्म उवाच अत्राप्युदाहरन्तीममितिहासं पुरातनम् । मैत्रेयस्य च संवाद कृष्णद्वैयायनस्थ च
bhīṣma uvāca | atrāpy udāharantīmam itihāsaṁ purātanam | maitreyaśya ca saṁvādaṁ kṛṣṇadvaipāyanasya ca ||
ဘိဿမက မိန့်သည်– «အို မင်းကြီး၊ ဤအကြောင်းအရာ၌လည်း ရှေးဟောင်း ဥပမာတစ်ရပ်ကို ထုတ်ပြသည်—မૈထ္ရေယနှင့် ကృష్ణဒွૈပာယန (ဗျာသ) တို့၏ ဆွေးနွေးပြောဆိုမှုအဖြစ် ရှိသော ရှေးကာလ သမိုင်းပုံပြင်ပင် ဖြစ်သည်»။
