Dāna-Śreṣṭhatā: On the Superiority of Giving
Maitreya–Vyāsa Exemplum
गतिज्ञ: सर्वभूतानां भाषाज्ञश्व शरीरिणाम् । सर्वज्ञ: स तदा दृष्टवा कीटं वचनमव्रवीत्
gatijñaḥ sarvabhūtānāṃ bhāṣājñaś ca śarīriṇām | sarvajñaḥ sa tadā dṛṣṭvā kīṭaṃ vacanam abravīt ||
ဘိဿမက ပြောသည်— «သတ္တဝါအားလုံး၏ ကံကြမ္မာလမ်းကြောင်းကို သိမြင်သူ၊ ကိုယ်ခန္ဓာရှိသတ္တဝါတို့၏ ဘာသာစကားကိုလည်း သိသူ၊ အရာအားလုံးကို သိမြင်သူဖြစ်သော သူသည် ထိုအခါ ပိုးကောင်ကို မြင်ပြီးနောက် ဤစကားကို ပြောလေ၏။»
