शप्तस्त्वेवं सुप्रतीिको विभावसुमथाब्रवीत् । त्वमप्यन्तर्जलचर: कच्छप: सम्भविष्यसि,इस प्रकार शाप मिलनेपर सुप्रतीकने विभावसुसे कहा--'तुम भी पानीके भीतर विचरनेवाले कछुए होओगे'
śaptas tv evaṁ supratīko vibhāvasum athābravīt | tvam apy antarjalacaraḥ kacchapaḥ sambhaviṣyasi ||
ဤသို့ ကျိန်စာခံရပြီးနောက် စုပရတီကာက ဗိဘာဝသုအား ပြောသည်– «သင်လည်း ရေထဲတွင် လှုပ်ရှားသွားလာသော လိပ်တစ်ကောင် ဖြစ်လိမ့်မည်»။
कश्यप उवाच
The verse highlights reciprocal moral causality: harmful speech and punitive intent can rebound upon the speaker, emphasizing restraint, responsibility in utterance, and the ethical weight of curses.
After being cursed, Supratīka responds by declaring a counter-curse to Vibhāvasu, stating that Vibhāvasu too will be born as a water-dwelling tortoise.
