भयादू रणं परित्यज्य शक्रमेवाभिशिश्रियु: । बहुत-से देवता बार-बार प्रयत्न करनेपर भी कभी सफलमनोरथ न हो सके। उनकी आशा टूट गयी और वे भयके मारे युद्ध छोड़कर इन्द्रकी ही शरणमें चले गये
bhayād raṇaṃ parityajya śakram evābhiśiśriyuḥ |
ဝိုင်ရှမ္ပါယနက ပြောသည်။ ကြောက်ရွံ့သဖြင့် သူတို့သည် စစ်မြေပြင်ကို စွန့်ခွာကာ သက္ကရာ (အိန္ဒြ) ထံသို့သာ ခိုလှုံသွားကြ၏။ နတ်များစွာတို့သည် အကြိမ်ကြိမ် ကြိုးစားခဲ့သော်လည်း မိမိတို့ရည်မှန်းချက်ကို မအောင်မြင်နိုင်ခဲ့ကြ; မျှော်လင့်ချက်ပျက်စီးသွား၍ ကြောက်လန့်ကာ တိုက်ပွဲမှ ဆုတ်ခွာပြီး အိန္ဒြထံ ခိုလှုံကြ၏။
